What's been added in before?

+/- added to open a folder with just one tap
now you can add a program link to the Start menu with only 2 taps
support for PocketUnzip added (just double tap on a zip file and punzip.exe is startet automatically if installed)
there is now only one language neutral version of dTree available. dTree automatically uses the language you choose in your country settings. Currently dTree supports english, german and french. If you want another language please contact us.

Hint

To find out what all the buttons are for tap on a button stay on it till a short message appears and then move the stylus away from the button an lift it up. This works with almost all programs on your WindowsCE device.

How to use dTree

How do I browse through my WindowsCE device?

After executing dTree you see a folder icon with a \ behind. Just tap on the + to open the main folder. Now you can see various sub folders. With a tap on a + symbol you can open a folder with a tap on a - symbol you can close a folder.

How do I copy a file?

tap on the file or folder which you want to copy
tap on Copy
tap on the folder where the selected file or folder should be copied into
tap on Paste

How do I move a file?

tap on the file or folder which you want to move
tap on Cut
tap on the folder where the selected file or folder should be moved into
tap on Paste

How do I create a link?

tap on the file or folder for which a link should be created
tap on Copy
tap on the folder where the link should be created
tap on Create Link

How do I create a link in the Start menu

tap on the executable file (extension .exe) for which a link should be created
tap on Create Link

How do I delete a file?

tap on the file or folder which you want to delete
tap on Delete

How do I execute a file?

tap on the file you want to execute (file with .exe extension)
tap on Execute

How do I open a document file?

tap on the file or folder which you want to open (*.htm, *.html, *.wav, *.txt, *.pwi, *.psw, *.cab, ...)
tap on Execute

How do I beam a file?

tap on the file you want to beam (via infrared)
tap on Beam
on the other device tap on the main folder (folder symbol with \ behind)

You have the right to use and distribute dTree freely. But you are not allowed to bundle it with other software or hardware without a written permission from derago.

The version of dTree on our home page is free for personal usage. You can give it away to your friends and you are allowed to use it as often as you wish. But if you want to redestribute it you have to include the whole package including this documentation. Bundling this software with other software or hardware for commercial usage and distribution is not allowed. Please ask for a licence.

Please back up your WindowsCE device regularly. It is possible that dTree has bugs we do not know and which can lead to severe data loss. That's why we recommend (as any other software and hardware company) that you back up your device as often as you can and is suitable for your needs.
